About This Blog
Karen Porter moved to Pennsylvania over 35 years ago. In 2002, she founded The Chester County Peace Movement and served as Team Leader for the Obama Presidential Campaign in Central Chester County. She has volunteered for many community activities and boards in the professional, civic and religious sectors. A graduate of George Washington University and Northeastern University Law School, she has held positions in corporate law, law school administration and teaching, and professional publishing and adult education management over the past 40 years. She has authored two law textbooks and writes often about other subjects.
Karen volunteered as a community blogger to disseminate news about progressive activities and causes in Chester County and the Philadelphia region. This blog is intended as a news and analysis vehicle to help keep progressives informed and in touch with each other.
